Donations, Funding, Sponsorships, Support

Peavey Industries LP and Peavey Mart support as much as we can, the organizations, events, initiatives or individuals that have the potential to positively impact the lives and livelihoods of the customers, communities and regions we serve across Canada. From small to large, we have two main platforms outlined below to help you reach the right people with your information and request for funding or support.

To present a large-scale corporate partnership or sponsorship opportunity, please email us at marketing@peaveyindustries.com.

Community Agricultural Grant

At Peavey, we have always known you get what you give, from great service comes the best customers, from hard to find products comes innovative solutions. We wouldn’t have been able to build our reputation over the last 50 years without you, your families, your homes and homesteads. That’s why we commit $100,000 each year to the Community Agriculture Grant. This annual grant works to leverage the meaningful work happening in your backyard, everyday. Whether it is a community garden project, funding for research, or to address the complexities that come with food insecurity, we are here, not only to put our money where our mouth is, but to invest back into the communities we live and work in, into the communities we call home. The Community Agriculture Grant opens annually for submission on March 1st, and the deadline for applications is May 31st.

In 2023, we have launched an exclusive Alberta Association of Agricultural Societies grant of $2,500.00. This annual grant will work to leverage the meaningful work happening within our communities’ agricultural societies, every day. This is only eligible to registered Agricultural Societies in Alberta. If your society needs enhancements, upgrades, or programs to create a meaningful impact for the community, then we encourage you to participate. This grant opens annually for submission on February 15th. Deadline for applications is October 1st at 11:59pm. The grant winner will be announced at the annual Alberta Association of Agriculture Societies Conference held in February each year.

Peavey Industries Rooted In Community Endowment Program

Without strong roots, healthy growth is not possible. Peavey, our customers and staff know and live by this, which is why we support our communities, our neighbours, by investing in projects, initiatives and ideas that are recognized as an emerging opportunity or need. We cannot be all things to everyone, but we can strive to be the best at what we do, and that is how we’ve operated for over 50 years in Canada. From our stores to your backyard or back 40, we walk the walk, and continue to do so with the Peavey Industries Rooted In Community Endowment Program. This is an ongoing small funding opportunity to help big ideas take root.

Partnerships

Peavey Industries LP and Peavey Mart are proud to partner with numerous regional organizations which our customers and communities rely on as much as they do us. In addition, we have impactful relationships with the following organizations and individuals that provide a broader reach, enabling us to engage with more people and regions across the country.

Heat the Feet

Our own program; established to aid, in our way, local service organizations to help those in need in their communities. In November and December each of our stores across the country offer warm socks for $1 that customers can either take home for themselves or leave with the store for local donation. In 2020 alone, ‘Heat the Feet’ gathered more than 280,000 pairs of socks for donation countrywide.

4-H logos

4-H

Peavey Industries LP and Peavey Mart have been a proud supporter of 4-H provincial organizations spanning from BC to Nova Scotia since approximately 1970. Together we are rooted in rural communities and it is important to us to do what we can to help young 4-H members to learn and grow into strong advocates and leaders in their own communities.

STARS Air Ambulance

Every day STARS takes care of some of the most critical patients in western Canada. Peavey Industries and Peavey Mart recognize the invaluable service that STARS critical care teams provide to our rural communities and that nearly every individual in the western provinces has an amazing ‘STARS story’ about themselves or someone important to them. We are the official merchandise partner of STARS, provide additional corporate funding and donations throughout the year, and hold an annual 'Day of STARS' in-store fundraising event.

Gord Bamford Foundation

The Gord Bamford Foundation supports youth and communities across Canada. Peavey Industries and Peavey Mart appreciate the commitment and efforts of the Foundation to make a meaningful difference in various significant aspects of young peoples’ lives, and we support their efforts as much as we can.

Brooklyn McDougall Sponsorship

Peavey Industries is proud to sponsor Brooklyn McDougall. Brooklyn is a Team Canada NextGen long track speed skater from Calgary, AB. She is a 2021 University of Calgary graduate, with a degree in Biological Sciences. In 2019, Brooklyn worked with Peavey Mart in the Canada Winter Games TSN commercial, "Building Communities". She competed at the 2019 Canada Winter Games in Red Deer, where she won two gold, two silver, one bronze, and broke two Canada Winter Games records.

Brooklyn has represented Canada at two World Junior Championships in Helsinki, Finland (2017) and Salt Lake City, USA (2018). As a senior, Brooklyn competed at 2019 Neo-Senior World Cup in Enschede, Netherlands, where she won two gold and one silver medal. She also competed at the 2020 ISU Four Continents Championship, winning one gold and one silver medal.

Most recently, Brooklyn was crowned the Women’s 500m Canadian Champion in October 2021, securing her spot on the 2021 Fall World Cup circuit – the first step to earning a position on Team Canada for the 2022 Beijing Olympic Winter Games.

Although Brooklyn was born in Calgary, she spent much of her childhood in Bragg Creek, a town just west of the city. The property has been in the family since 1958 and as a result, they have embraced the rural lifestyle. She grew up valuing the strength of a small town, especially during times of adversity. Brooklyn shares many of the same values as Peavey Mart and appreciates the support she has received from her community.

Miss Rodeo Canada 2024 - Kaylee Shantz

Miss Rodeo Canada

Peavey Industries and the Miss Rodeo Canada organization are both proponents of supporting and embodying the Western way of life. The overlap in the value they place on stewardship, community, and agriculture make this sponsorship a natural fit. Peavey Industries LP is especially excited to enter into sponsorship of Miss Rodeo Canada because of the strong, positive impact that this organization has on the women involved.

Sponsoring Miss Rodeo Canada means actively elevating young women through expanded career, networking, and public speaking opportunities. It also means being able to extend the active charitable work that Miss Rodeo Canada engages in during her tenure. Further, sponsoring Miss Rodeo Canada makes community involvement possible at the many provincial, national, and global locations the incumbent visits throughout the year.

At the Canadian Finals Rodeo each year, a new Miss Rodeo Canada is named for the upcoming calendar year. The winner for 2024 is Kaylee Shantz. She resides on a family farm northwest of Rimbey, Alberta. A place that keeps her based, grounded and provides a firm foundation to pursue her western and english equine ambitions. To connect with her immediate community and utilize her skills, she volunteers as the Rimbey Rodeo Royalty coordinator, to guide and encourage other girls on their journey's.

Kaylee aspires to a career in Psychology, with a focus on child psychology, development and therapy. Her hands-on knowledge in the health care field, through different certifications, such as Health Care Aide and Occupational First Aid Level 3 will help round out her knowledge base.

Passion is what drives Kaylee's ambition to become more connected with the unique and spirited sport of rodeo. As Miss Ponoka Stampede, she is extremely proud to represent the rodeo most dear to her family's hearts and promote our western lifestyle and heritage with those around her.
