While installing the heater today, I discovered three quality issues which may be of interest to the manufacturer / distributor. 1.) The fan was making excessive noise. I removed the fan and discovered the nut which retains the fan to the hub was finger tight. I applied a drop of Loctite and reassembled. 2.)The huck bolt which provides a female thread for the 10 mm ground bolt for the heater components was not sufficiently compressed during manufacture. When the ground wire was wiggled, the entire assembly would move. The second ground provided was secure, so I used it for both the cable and heater component ground. 3.)The wires for the fan motor pass through a knockout hole with unprotected edges. Over time, vibrations could cause damage to the wire installation. A grommet to protect the wires from the edge of the knockout hole would be a simple solution. Once these issues were resolved, the heater was quiet and brought my single car garage up to temperature.
