The ESP shelter passed testing at Texas Tech National Wind Institute consisting of 9 missile impacts from 15lb 2x4s traveling 100 mph, equivalent to the 250mph winds generated by an F5 tornado. All Swisher ESP shelters have been verified by the National Storm Shelter Association to be in compliance with FEMA 320 2014, FEMA 361 2015 and the ICC-500-2014 when installed per the manual and inspected by a Qualified Inspector.
