Duties and Responsibilities include:
Greeting customers and discussing, locating and offering merchandise that customers are looking for. Advise customers on use and care of merchandise, and provide advice concerning special products or services. Estimate or quote prices, credit terms, trade-in allowances, warranties and delivery dates. Prepare merchandise for purchase. Prepare sales contract and accept various payment types to complete sale. May operate a cash register. Assist with merchandise display. Assist with sales records for inventory control. Operate computerized inventory record keeping and re-ordring systems on AS400. Customer carry out service. Stock shelves and display area duties. General cleaning duties. Participate in continued training. Be part of a team environment.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
High school education preferred. Ability to approach and communicate with customers. Ability to learn and use product knowledge from training. Interpersonal skills are required to communicate with customers and staff. Participate with ongoing training.
